Well I have decided that this week I am taking a break from my fitness. I have a poor excuse too! I got the new Battlefield 4 game and I wanted to take some time off to enjoy it. I will get back on track with working out next week. So with that said this post is going to be short. I do think I will look into the new P90X 2 during my time off.
I would love to get it but I really gotta focus on the holidays coming up. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to spend the money on that right now, especially when I should be thinking of who spend the money on for Christmas. Working at Wal-Mart I don't make that much so I gotta spend wisely on gifts. I don't typically buy gifts for friends, not really that close to anyone. So I guess I really just have my family to worry about.
Anyway sorry getting a bit off topic there. I do find that taking breaks from my fitness routine on occasion is good for me. It keeps me from burning out and just quitting all together. I believe I am going to preview some more of Melissa Benders workouts and maybe put them in the order I would like to do them. Maybe just doing those workouts won't be enough though, may have to incorporate some other forms or cardio. I don't know though her workouts are usually tough enough that they may in fact qualify as both cardio and strength training.
I am going to enjoy my break and come back strong next week. If anyone has an fitness tips they'd like to share with me please feel free do so. Take care all!

Still working out!
Hello my cyber friends! It would appear I still don't have any followers but I am ok with that. I think this is more for me anyway and if I do happen upon some followers, well good for me! This week I have just been doing Turbo Fire, Fire 30 and have decided to add 100 squats, push-ups, and crunches to every work out I do. I do try to mix up the types of push-ups, crunches, and squats I do. Doing the same ones every time would get boring, not to mention work the same muscles every time. I am really hoping to keep with this challenge I have created for myself.
I am hoping to add reps as I get stronger. I also want to be able to do all my push-ups regular. I currently do some of them on my knees, like diamond push-ups and military push-ups. I was thinking today, I should do a search to see which exercises are best at building muscle without the use of weights. I am sure that information will be easy to find. There is so much information on the web!
I am feeling great! I am trying very hard to keep up with my workout but unfortunately I am not posting to my blog daily. I suppose it isn't completely necessary, at least not until I get a following, if that happens. I am currently only working out 4 days a week and that is working out for me right now. Maybe some day I will up that but for now I will stick with what I am doing. Any workout time is better than none.
I know people feel it is hard to get a workout in with busy schedules and all but it really isn't. You can in fact incorporate into your daily routine. I have read or heard about different things you can do to get some form of exercise in. You can learn to not park so close to your office, in the parking lot at the store, put some distance between you. Don't take elevators, use the stairs! Every time you go to the bathroom do some squats while there. Do crunches or push-ups while watching TV. Go for a walk as a family after meals when possible. Lift weights while you watch your shows!
There really are many ways to incorporate exercise into your day! Just find what works for you! Well that's all I have for today, take care all!

Turbo Fire
Well this week I have been doing Turbo Fire. I have been doing Fire 30 this week. I love Turbo Fire! It is such an upbeat and energetic program. I only actually worked out 3 times this week and I am proud of that. Any working out is better than not working out at all. I have just felt a little drained lately. I am not sleeping so good and not sure why really.
I think part of my problem is that I just need to get on a regular schedule. As usual I haven't been great at posting on my blog. I guess it isn't necessary to post every single day. I may eventually get to that but that could take some time. There have been a few people reading my blog but no official followers that I have noticed yet. I may someday have loyal followers but who knows how long that will take. I'm in no hurry. I just like writing down what is going on from time to time.
I did try on some of my smaller pants today. It was good results for the most part. They are all size 6s and 8s. I can get them all on but can't button all of them. This tells me I need to focus on my booty and midsection more. I really got learn to incorporate weight training into my weekly workout routines. I haven't decided if I want to do weight training 5 days a week or 3 times per week. I guess I better start somewhere.
I love P90X for weight training but I don't like that the workouts are an hour long. I can break them down into smaller sessions I suppose. That will of course require me to make time to come up with my own modified version of the programs. Maybe do half of what is on each workout cd, break them down into 15min or 30min sessions. I could do 15 minute sessions five days a week, or 30 minute sessions three times a week.
I suppose next time I am off I will take some time to figure out how I want to do this. If I have learned anything important about getting in shape, it is that muscle burns fat. So no matter how much cardio I do it is always best to add some weight training in with the cardio. The body burns more fat if you have more muscle and that doesn't mean big bulky muscle either. I have seen some really nice looking women with great muscle definition and they still look very feminine/sexy. Now those women who go for the big bulky muscle, I can't say I like that. They look to manly!
I know I have it in me to look super sexy and very fit. I guess I just don't feel bad enough about myself to push myself to that level. I would like to get to the level of fit that I know I can be at but making myself do it is another story. I am not horribly out of shape so right now I am just doing what makes me feel good about how I look and feel now. My biggest struggle with getting in the best shape of my life is the diet.
I think the fact that the whole family is not on board with eating clean and healthy makes it difficult for me to do it. I know there are certain things I wouldn't want to give up either and I do try myself to eat those things in moderation. I do control portion sizes. I feel eating clean is hard also too because I really don't like to cook. I think what would help me is if I could find a lot of recipes that are quick yet healthy. Buying fresh fruits and vegetables is hard to because if you don't eat them right away it goes to waste.
The family loves it's processed food because it is quick and easy. I do believe you can eat these things in moderation and not gain tons of weight. I also know deep inside cutting these things out would bring on results quicker but it is hard to cut them out. I know cutting things out gradually is better than doing it all at once. I have stopped buying soda, which is a good start. Well I haven't completely stopped! I will have it when I eat out or go to a movie and I do occasionally bring home a two liter. I just know I am not having it daily like I used to and that is great.
So my struggle with getting in the best shape of my life are; my eating habits, the fact that I don't feel like I look that horrible, not active enough(outside my workouts), not doing enough weight training, not having friends who are interested in fitness like I am, and not having anyone to workout with. See I know what my problems are, just gotta work at correcting them. It is always good to know what is preventing you from being successful, no matter what it is. Well that is my two cents for the day. I hope you are all well and have a great weekend!

What a slacker I am!
Yes my fellow bloggers I have been a slacker! I have failed to workout and blog the last few days. I have been on crochet frenzy. I had a craft show I was getting ready for, that craft show was today. So with that said. I will be back on track with my fitness effective Monday, Oct 14, tehe! Yeah, I do not workout on the weekends no matter how much I have been slacking during the week.
The weekends are my down time "NO MATTER WHAT". Even if I do have to work, which is most often every weekend. Yeah my availability is limited for work since I home school my youngest child. So my work schedule is evenings and weekends. If I am to work out is has to be Mon through Fri, preferably in the morning but sadly I have not trained myself to get up early for my workouts. I am going to start working on that this coming week.
I just feel so much better if I workout early. If I procrastinate on working out throughout my day I usually won't do it. Not to mention I feel so much better throughout my day if I get it done right away. When I say right away that usually means within an hour to two hour of getting up. I have to have my breakfast before I workout, need that fuel!
I am trying to incorporate some of Melissa Benders workouts into my routine. I feel she does a great job changing things up. I really want the new P90X 2, just don't think I can afford to get that at the moment. We'll see, I may be able to swing it and by that program. I loved P90X, I had the most success with that program. I just don't really enjoy doing programs over and over again. I need VARIETY!
I need to load some pumped up music to my Ipod and or computer as well. I have to be honest, I would enjoy my workouts so much more if they used music they play on the radios for their music. The music that accompanies the workouts is just never very appealing to me. I do find that if I listen to the music I like though it can wear me out. I say this because I want to go with the rhythm of the music and if it slows down and speeds up all the time it can really wear you down. Well in my opinion anyway.
Well my fellow fitness buffs, I am just babbling now so I will draw this message to a close. Please feel free to help keep me motivated, I appreciate it. Yeah I know I gotta make it so y'all can reply on my blog right? Well I haven't figured all this out yet, I am working on it, until then take care!

Chill day!
Well the program I am currently following for my fitness has today as an off day. I wasn't originally going to take today off but I got up a little too late this morning to try and fit in a workout. I was pretty sore sleeping last night but again that is a good sore. I figured giving my muscles a day of rest today won't hurt. I actually prefer to have my days of rest on the weekend.
I will of course be ready to workout tomorrow. I am actually thinking about getting the new P90X. It is called P90X2. I did P90X and I got great results from that so I wouldn't expect anything less from the new program. I thought about asking for it for my birthday, coming up in November. I don't know if I want to wait that long. My Beach Body Coach said there is a good deal on it this month so I may have to see if I can come up with the money to buy it this month.
I think a concern with the new program is that it may be a bit expensive right now. I watched a little of the infomercial for it and it uses all sorts of equipment. So I am thinking if the program doesn't come with the stability ball and medicine balls that is an extra expense for me. I haven't actually went to the Beach Body website yet to see what comes with the package so I may be making a wrong assumption about the cost. I will have to check it out within the next couple of days, maybe tomorrow since I am off work.
Thanks for stopping by! Now go get your workout on!

Got my workout on!
Woo hoo, day 3 and still blogging! What a shock! I completed a great workout today. This workout was unlike yesterday. Yesterday's workout wiped me out. I felt much better today. I did 3 sets of each of the following:
1. Lunge Jump
2. Temple Tap Leg Raise
3. High Knees (30, 45, or 60 seconds timed)
4. Warrior Deadlift (right)
5. Warrior Deadlift (left)
6. Pop Up
7. Squat Chop
8. Extended Plank
9. Bicycle Abs
10. Plank Crunch
I am currently getting my workouts from a blogger I am following. To check out her blog click here. If you are interested in seeing the workout video click here. I am also doing a plank and push-up challenge. I am on day 16 of the challenge, it is a 30 day challenge. Today we had to do 30 push-ups. I did 10 diamond push-ups, 10 wide-fly push-ups on my knees, and 10 military style push-ups on my knees.
I can typically do the wide-fly regular style but I pushed myself to do the diamond push-ups regular today. So with that said I was wore out and had to do the other two styles on my knees today. I am also doing 400 hundred squats a week. I break those down into 100 four days a week. Wow I am actually enjoying writing down what I did each day. I feel the thing I struggled most with today was the Temple Tap Leg Raise. The first set of those seemed fined but the other two I didn't seem so strong.
I am feeling a little sore today from yesterdays workout but it's all good. It is a good sore! Everyone get up and get moving. Stay in shape so you can live a long healthy life.
Feeling Sore and Sexy,
Heather

Current Challenge and Workout
So I am currently working on a 30 day Plank/Push-up challenge. I am on day 15 and that consisted of 60 sec front facing plank and 45 sec side planks. I also started a program I found on a blog I recently subscribed to. The blog is Bender Fitness. I actually just found Melissa on YouTube not that long ago and I love here workouts. They look really challenging and usually work the entire body and I love that. She does a great job at mixing things up too, it get so boring doing the same thing over and over.
I am looking forward to following her blog and using her workout videos to help me get in shape. The workout I am doing from her page is this one, just click the link to be taken to the page. Today I did Full Body Fitness Makeover. This was rough for sure because I haven't really worked out much over the last month or month and a half. I did the beginner version which was 10 of each exercise. I also did the all ten exercises 3 times. I was feeling pretty nauseous not long after starting set two but I pushed myself through it and managed to get through all 3 sets.
I am looking forward to tomorrows workout as well. I am sure it will kick my butt just as much as the one I did today! Thanks for reading and if you can suggest other blogs please do so. They don't have to be fitness blogs just interesting.
